First Step: Setting the Appointment

Second Step: Evaluation
We arrive on time, ready to jump right in. Our first step is a visual evaluation of the clutter, to get an overview of the types of items we’re going to encounter, as well as to devise a strategy for its removal.
Third Step: Removal and Sorting
Once this is complete, we begin the process of removing the items from the area to clear the space, then we start going through the items, one by one, sorting them while deciding whether to recommend you keep it, toss it, sell it, or donate it, and placing similar items together. Of course all final decisions are made by you.
Fourth Step: Replacing Items and Creating Systems
Once the sorting has been completed, our next step is to determine where to place the “keep” items so they can be retrieved by you in a minimal amount of time, are aesthetically pleasing and, of course, organized. For example, in a garage organization project, we would likely separate items by their use; sports equipment together, tools together, car items together, etc. In a home office project, we would sort through the papers and devise a filing system that fits how your thought process works to keep things organized, our goal being to create a system that you can maintain on your own. Fifth Step: Removal
As far as the “toss” items are concerned, we will bag it for curbside removal or, if larger items are involved, we can arrange for pickup (extra fees may be involved). Clutterbusters!! provides discounts for certain “junk removal” companies on its website. For discounts, please go to CLICK HERE
For the “donate” items, we will provide recommendations of local charities and help arrange pickup, or we can bring the items to the drop-off location for you.
For the “sell” items, we can help you prepare a garage sale, or recommend an eBay store in the area that will sell the items for you and send you the proceeds. In certain areas, we have partnerships with such stores whereby Clutterbusters!! clients receive a discounted commission rate.
Sixth Step: Maintenance Training
One of the goals of our service is to never have to go back and organize the same area twice. Once we set up systems and find a place for everything, our Organizer will show you how things are organized, and what steps you should take to maintain it. With as little as 5 minutes a day, most rooms in the house can stay organized forever!
Seventh Step (if necessary) Setting Follow-up Visits:
Sometimes, larger projects may take more than one visit. In that case, the Organizer will arrange with you a schedule for future visits.
